Tumblr woes and recent life.
As my 1 follower might (or might not) notice, I haven’t posted anything on here for a long, long time - probably over a year, but I didn’t look properly.
I digress, the only reason I came back to post something was because I read a friend’s blog that she’s just started (rebeccabuxton.tumblr.com) and I thought I should probably write something.
This summer holiday is almost at a close, and I can’t help but feel that I have wasted it, spending the majority of the time procrastinating in my room either by playing on my new computer or on my Playstation. I haven’t even done much homework, not that I had much to do in the first place, but I always manage to leave the work that I have until the last week.
I am currently in the void between AS and A2 and I’m just approaching the time where I need to think about Universities, so I’ve got some Open Days lined up for September. Being in this void would indicate that I got my AS level results last month, and I hope I’m not being too vain by telling you that I got an A in Maths, an A in Physics, an A in Biology and a D in Chemistry.
I do have an excuse for that D, my teacher was - and still is - very ill for the few weeks before my exams in May so we didn’t even have a chance to finish the syllabus, but I am still shocked that I managed to get at least 50% of the marks!
This is the first extended piece of writing I have done for a long time, you might have noticed this by any lack of structure, grammar, etc, and for that I apologise. I have no one to blame for this, because it was my choice! I never really like English lessons and exams as I can never seem to write well in exams. This strongly influenced my A level options (along with the fact that the options I chose are my favourite and strongest subjects).
Hopefully I will be able to motivate myself to write a post like this frequently, and I’ll be aiming to write longer posts.
I also have no idea how to end these posts (I need to learn a new synonym for ‘post’, as I can’t just use the same word all the time so if anyone could enlighten me as to such a word, I would be highly appreciative), I’ll just say thank you for reading :)
PS. That was probably the most I’ve written all year without using a smiley face of some description, I usually put one at the end of every tweet, text, status and instant message :P
Sorry ‘bout the long delay, I’ve been back at college and had no time whatsoever.
It had been raining last night, and on the way to work this morning (yesterday now, it being 00:27am) there were many spiders webs, covered in tiny droplets. My automatic thought was ‘Quick, camera!’. Then I realised I was on the way to work, it was raining, and I was bordering on being late.
When I got back, I grabbed my camera, went outside, and was slightly disappointed. Most of the water had been either blown off, evaporated, etc. But, undeterred, I grabbed a water spray and promptly sprayed a web finely, producing an effect nearly as good as the one I had seen that morning. It took some snaps, and here are the best ones.
Next we move on to July/August ‘09, where we went on a family holiday to Kenya :)
I have - once again - selected but a handful of the good photos, eliminating 1367 to 9 for your viewing pleasure.
We start in Vancouver August ‘07, I’m choosing a handful of the best photos, bear with me, I had a little wannabe point and shoot camera, 5 Megapixels without even manual focus.
“5 Megapixels?!” I hear you cry! “You can get such (lack of) clarity on a mobile phone!”
I know, but this was 3 years ago :P
Self-welcoming to Tumblr
Hello! I doubt any of you will see this post, but it’s worth doing just to get myself acquainted to the whole Tumblr experience.
I’ll probably be posting mainly some photos that I’ve taken, maybe some random things to do with my life and potentially a game review or two :)
Enjoy people :)
